At Sumatra we are still trying to catch wild pigs to translocate them, because of the overpopulation of the species on Marak island, to other islands and to Sumatra.

Un bébé vient de naitre cette nuit à Kalaweit. Hana, la maman, a donné la vie à un petit mâle, malheureusement elle n’a pas su s’en occuper. Il est donc maintenant avec moi à Palangka Raya dans un incubateur.

Last night Hana give birth to a little male… sadly she didn’t take care of him, and now he is with me at Palangka Raya in an incubator.

fin tournage / end of the first part of the filming

La premiere partie du tournage pour la serie est terminee, apres la reception de 3 siamangs et 1 gibbon en provenance de Java a Kalaweit Sumatra. Je serais de retour a Palangka ka demain, avec toujours beaucoup de choses prevues...

End of the first part of the filming (for the series on Animal Planet and the one hour film for BBC/AP), with the reception of 3 siamangs and 1 gibbon from Java at Kalaweit Sumatra. I will be back in palangka (Borneo) tomorrow with many new plans...
